Thank you for visiting our website. We, the Bulgarian Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (BVCA), take to heart your privacy. We continue and strengthen our commitment to provide adequate protection of any personal information you give us that might be deemed as personal data within the meaning of the applicable European Union and Bulgarian data protection laws.
Who is BVCA
BVCA (www.bvca.bg) is a non-profit organization based in Bulgaria, that unites the private equity and venture capital funds in the country. It is the owner of the re:turn website and the main driving force of re:turn initiative, in partnership with three organizations: America for Bulgaria Foundation (ABF), Solutions for the Future Foundation and the Bulgarian Entrepreneurship Center (BEC).
What information is collected
When you browse our website, we collect general information about you in order to ensure the continuity of the session and the seamless functioning of the website. We use cookies to achieve this.

When you wish to contact us, you can do so by filling out our contact form. In this case, we will ask for your consent to collect your e-mail address and we will use it only to reply to your inquiry. We may also collect your name should you choose to disclose it to us.
Finally, we will collect certain information about you which you have submitted through the ticketing and registration platform, Eventbrite, for re:turn and BVCA events only. This includes, in particular:
- your first and last name;
- your job position;
- interests;
- your email;
- additional information about past events or engagement with us.
We use this information to pursue our legitimate interest to organize events, programs and other activities that fulfill the mission of the re:turn initiative. Further information about how we collect your data is available in Eventbrite’s Privacy Policy.
BVCA constantly updates its database regarding contacts’ needs and manages unsubscribed individuals as well as new contacts. Personal data described above are only stored until unsubscribed.
Who is this information shared with
The organization is committed to applying the highest standards of ethical and legal practices in all its activities, including the protection of the personal data of all users of the website. Except in the cases provided below, we will not disclose, nor allow any person outside the organization to access or use your personal data as described in this privacy notice.
We may share your personal data with: (i) service providers of the organization and re:turn for the purposes of implementing a contract, incl. for improvement and optimization of our website; (II) partners of the organization in collaborative initiatives, co-organizers of events and other activities, i.e. Solution for the Future Foundation, America for Bulgaria Foundation, Bulgarian Entrepreneurship Center, for their promotional purposes in regards to the event; (III) third parties, including competent authorities, when required by law. We will make sure that these data recipients are legally or contractually obliged to protect the confidentiality and security of your personal data. They are not authorized to use, disclose or modify this information in any way except for the purposes of performing the services assigned by BVCA.
We will not transfer your personal data outside the European Economic Area.
